Perishable Collections at ASM – Waiting List Only
Join conservators, museum staff, and archaeologists at the Arizona State Museum this May for a behind the scenes tour. On the agenda is a visit to the Basketry Vault where we will observe textiles found in various archaeological contexts including dry caves. We will then focus our tour on the material culture of the Apache, Sinagua, and Mogollon cultures of the Southwest—items may help members further contextualize upcoming lecture topics concerning these groups. Following the tour, take the street car from Main Gate to Mercado San Augstín for lunch . To register for the trip please contact trip leader Cannon Daughtrey. Group size is limited to 15 people.
